D.C. to Gettysburg!
Thanks everyone for checking out this page. I'm riding this weekend from Washington, D.C. to Gettysburg, Pa. That might seem like a lot but we're riding with soldiers who were recently discharged from Vet's hospitals. Now there's inspiration and that's how I'll get through the 106 mile ride.
I use to love to ride my bike around the east end of Long Island and when I turned 50 this year, I got a bike and decided it was time to get busy doing things I loved. When friends in town told me of this ride, I thought "what could be a better way than breaking in my new reclaimed ambition with some of America's finest?"
The fundraising we do is going to offset the cost of the soldiers we're riding with. I'm excited to go - excited to ride - and excited to tell you about it when I get back. Thanks for reading this and keep us in your prayers.
