Adventure TEAM Challenge 2010

The 2010 Adventure TEAM Challenge dates are set! Join World TEAM Sports deep in the heart of the Rockies June 25-27, 2010 and be ready for a real ADVENTURE!!!

As we all begin to brace for the impending winter months, World TEAM Sports has something to warm your spirits. Mark your calendars, begin to train because the 2010 Adventure TEAM Challenge is going to be like nothing you have experienced before. New terrain, bigger mountains and more competitors await your arrival.

On Friday, June 25, athletes of all abilities will tackle the Rocky Mountains in the World TEAM Sports Adventure TEAM Challenge. An idea conceived by Erik Weihenmayer, first visually impaired individual to climb Mt. Everest, the Adventure TEAM Challenge is a multi-day, multi-sport TEAM-building wilderness adventure. Athletes will push the envelope in the unique, problem-solving adventure celebrating true diversity and the increased effectiveness of working together as a TEAM.

The event kicks off Friday from the upper Arkansas River Valley and will be surrounded by towering 14,000 foot peaks of the Sawatch Mountain Range. The following two days will take the athletes deep in the remote mountain range south of Leadville, Colo., rafting the unpredictable waters of the Arkansas River, hiking dramatic peaks and biking through beautiful alpine meadows before completing the race on Sunday, June 27, 2010. Athletes participating in the event include decorated paralympic athletes, members of the United States Military, world-renowned climbers and a number of elite hand-cyclists.

This year’s course will not be for the faint of heart, so come prepared to push your abilities to the limit. As with all World TEAM Sports events, this race is about meeting challenges, building camaraderie, and developing the lasting knowledge that ALL of the participants are integral members of our society. However, those of you seeking revenge on defending champs TEAM Lumber Liquidators, you will not be alone. World TEAM Sports has gained a great deal of interest from adventurers nationwide and is expecting stiff competition in 2010.
