On May 3rd & 4th, 2008 World T.E.A.M. Sports (The Exceptional Athlete Matters), working with the Walter Reed Army Medical Center, The National Navy Medical Center, The Soldiers Angel Foundation, The Injured Marine Semper Fi Fund, and others will be hosting our 2008 Face of America Bike Ride, a two-day inclusive bike ride from Bethesda, MD to historic Gettysburg, PA to honor and assist servicemen and women who have been severely injured in the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan and any and all other servicemen and women as well.

Ride by side with these heroes and personally encourage them and let them know that they can still be active athletes and still be a part of the TEAM. All riders are welcome!! There is no charge for any active duty servicemen or women, both able-bodied and disabled, to participate.

The “Real Deal” Inclusive Corporate Challenge is a multi-day, multi-sport TEAM-building wilderness adventure challenge. Competitors work together in teams combining participants with and without disabilities to meet the challenges of the terrain, their skills, strength, endurance, problem-solving and teamwork.

2008 Schedule of Events
May 3-4 , 2008 - 2008 Face of America
A bike ride to honor, thank and actively include servicemen who have been severely injured in the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan. This 110 mile bike ride starts in Bethesda, MD and ends in historic Gettysburg, PA. Ride side by side with the servicemen.
May 31, 2008 - Free Inclusive Kids Sports Clinics
Kids ages 7-15 with and without disabilities participate in sports clinics that include climbing, basketball, and soccer, led by top coaches and Olympic athletes. Hosted at Boston University.
June 27-29, 2008 - Real Deal T.E.A.M. Sports Adventure Challenge
The “Real Deal” Inclusive Corporate Challenge is a multi-day, multi-sport TEAM-building wilderness adventure challenge. Competitors work together in teams combining participants with and without disabilities to meet the challenges of the terrain, their skills, strength, endurance, problem-solving and teamwork.
July 19, 2008 - Free Inclusive Kids Sailing Clinics
Kids ages 7-15 with and without disabilities, along with family members and friends, participate in free inclusive sailing clinics led by trained instructors. Hosted at The Piers Park Sailing Center in East Boston.
September, 2008 - Hub On Wheels Bike Ride
An inclusive bike ride through the neighborhoods of Boston, including some of
Boston’s “jewels” like the Arnold Arboretum.

WORLD T.E.A.M. SPORTS INCLUSIVE TEAM CLIMBS TO THE TOP OF MT. KILIMANJARO
Seventeen years after World T.E.A.M Sports successfully climbed Mt Kilimanjaro, the highest mountain in Africa and the tallest freestanding mountain on earth, another integrated TEAM of people with and without disabilities again climbs successfully to the top.
World T.E.A.M. Sports Board member, Erik Weihenmayer and Leading Adversity Quotient (AQ®) expert Paul G. Stoltz, Ph.D have teamed up to write Adversity Advantage.
