| ATC 2010 Summary |

The race course near Leadville, CO was stunning in its beauty and very difficult because of the terrain and many transitions. The race was also our most exciting race as just 29 minutes separated the top 3 teams after two full days of racing. Lumber Liquidator$ (they also sponsored the defending champion team) and they led by only 6 minutes after the first day with many determined competitors focused on overtaking them. Sunday we awoke to a perfect skies, cool temperatures and intense competition. The zip line was dramatic, the mountain biking along a long ago abandoned stage coach trail was difficult enough that carrying bikes was a frequent option, and the Arkansas river was fast and huge. When everyone reached the final river crossing and the final bike stage, the finish line was a welcome sight.
We’d also like to thank and the volunteers and staff who put in even longer hours than the racers for an incredible job well done. |
