Registration is now open for the 2010 Face of America Bike Ride!

Washington, D.C. ▪ Gettysburg, April 23-25, 2010

We are excited to announce the 2010 Face of America bike ride!  Unlike previous years, the bike ride will be kicking off from Washington, DC.  We will embark from our nation’s capitol on a historic journey sure to provide lasting memories.  We will be cycling past our National monuments where freedom rings and the America spirit lives. The United States was built on the premise that anything is possible. World TEAM Sports echoes those sentiments that we, as a people, have no boundaries and can achieve great things.

Face of America is a two day, 100+ miles inclusive bike ride that teams participants with and without disabilities.  We are honoring and actively including servicemen and women injured in the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan.  We will also have able-bodied active duty service members as well as anyone else who would like to ride with us.  Everybody is welcome on our TEAM.  Show your support and ride with America’s heroes! 

Please take note as a few details have changed:

•    Space is limited and we fully expect to exceed participation from last year. Preferential registration is available for returning participants, but only until January 20, 2010. Please visit our website & register now!

•    Civilian registration is $100 ($50 for active duty military) to include one ticket to Friday dinner, Saturday breakfast, Saturday dinner, Sunday breakfast, rest stops, the famous steaks & beers with Seamus;  and a complimentary bus ride back to Washington, D.C.

•    The fundraising minimum remains at $400 ($200 for active duty military). We fully anticipate participants to far exceed the minimum goals and will be announcing incentives in early January. We are currently putting together contests with great prizes so plan to get an early start.

•    Our new website with a our own registration process has been released. Watch for updates and changes in the coming weeks.

•    Our new host hotel is the Hyatt Regency-Capitol Hill - two blocks from the Capitol. We have reserved a block of 200 rooms; however, congress will be in session and the hotel is expected to sell out. RESERVE YOUR ROOM NOW!!!

Our room block is under “World TEAM Sports” – the rate is $165 plus taxes.  Please contact the hotel at 202-737-1234 to make reservations.  Please make your reservations early to ensure your preference for room type.  The hotel has a 24 hour cancellation policy; cancellations not made 24 hours prior will result in one night’s room and tax charge on the credit card used to guarantee the room.

The hotel has again agreed to provide us with discounted parking, at a rate of $25/day.
